Unisen Senior Living hosted grand re-opening ceremonies

TAMPA, FL (December 14, 2021) –

Unisen Senior Living hosted grand re-opening ceremonies on December 9 and 11 to unveil recent renovations as part of a $25 million investment.

The first phase of completed renovations include remodeled common areas (which include gathering spots, activity spaces and dining rooms), updated apartments and villas and overhauls to the community’s landscaping.

The next phase of renovations, already underway, will include updates to all remaining apartments and the addition of an assisted living wing.

Unisen Senior Living launched the $25 million redevelopment project in 2020, sponsored by its not-for-profit parent organization, Tampa Life Plan Village, which purchased the property from the former operator, University Village. Tampa Life Plan Village specializes in health care, housing and support services for Tampa seniors.

During the VIP event on December 9, Unisen Senior Living leadership gathered with community leaders to tour the renovated spaces and give remarks about how the upgrades will support the community and future residents. During the December 11 event, the public had the opportunity to tour the renovations, enjoy holiday-themed hors d’oeuvres and drinks, and hear music from the Dillingham String Quartet, Vitali Trio and harpist Judy Raab.

“We are proud to share our new common areas and living spaces with the Tampa community,” said Michael Brown, Executive Director of Unisen Senior Living. “The Unisen team is committed to continued improvements to best create a welcoming and enriching environment for our amazing residents.”
